Bringing Locally Raised Natural Grass-Fed Beef Directly To You
Our Dad often laments that “we are raising cattle next to Livermore, Tracy and nearby cities in the East Bay and Valley, but the traditional beef market takes our cattle far away and doesn’t directly supply our own community.” With Connolly Ranch Natural Beef (CRNB), we are trying to change that.
In the traditional beef market, weaned and yearningly cattle are sold at a cattle auction and then transported somewhere elsewhere in California or out of state for further growth and finishing. From there, they are transported again to large companies for processing into packaged beef. And then the beef is transported a final time across the country for distribution back to your local supermarket.
With CRNB, we are working to bypass this multi-step, resource intensive commercial beef production process which generates a large carbon footprint, and create a sustainable model to provide our natural grass-fed beef locally. What a concept!
There are factors that limit local beef sales, including inadequate regional beef processing facilities and few local sales avenues. However, over time we hope to keep increasing the amount of beef we can supply locally, reducing the carbon foot-print through sustainable ranching practices, and developing efficient local supply chains for beef produced in our area.
Thank you for your support of locally-raised, all- natural, all grass-fed Connolly Ranch Natural Beef. Together we can make a difference for our planet, while providing a delicious product from our ranch to your table.
